Writing

Raquel’s poetry is primarily inspired by her Black and Latinx communities, womanhood, and her work as an urban planner. Through her poetry, Raquel offers protest, meditation, and song in solidarity with her communities.

Her work has been supported by the Hurston/Wright Foundation and the New York Writers Coalition, among others. Raquel is currently working on her first poetry collection.
